2 years ago • 2 notesThe Australian Coal Association has just launched a campaign that is trying to hoodwink people into supporting its dirty coal agenda! They are asking people to send emails to MPs to FURTHER WEAKEN the already weak CPRS despite getting a ridiculously generous handout first time round. They have no shame, their greed knows no bounds.
We need the opposite of this - fossil fuel company subsidies need to be rolled back before the CPRS is passed. And don’t be fooled this isn’t about jobs – during the recent boom times in the industry they axed loads of jobs via automation to increase profits. See this newmatilda article for more.
The form allows you to add your own message so lets subvert this underhanded campaign by adding our own messages. It currently works and if thousands of people do this then they will have to manually filter the emails or accept the Australian public DOES NOT WANT more dirty coal support.
